About Dr. Esparza and Preventive Dental Care in Laredo, TX

Dr. Esparza, known around the office as “Doc,” was the first pediatric dentist to begin serving the Laredo, TX, a community in 1980 and he continues to do so wholeheartedly! His office offers all of the pediatric dentistry services and preventive dental care in Laredo, TX, that your child might need, from hospital dentistry to behavioral management. Our goal at Dr. Esparza's Pediatric Dental Office is to offer a safe and comfortable way for your child to get excellent dental care.

Exceptional Education and Credentials

Doc graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1968 where he received All-State honors in football. He went on to receive a B.S. in Zoology and minored in chemistry from Texas A&M University in 1971. Dr. Esparza continued his studies at the University Of Texas School Of Public Health where he earned a Master’s in Public Health in 1973. He graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston in 1978. This was followed by two years of advanced studies, earning his specialty in Pediatric Dentistry completed in 1980. He became Board Certified dentist by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Doc’s love of learning led him to an additional three years in Pre-orthodontic Guidance to Occlusion, which include comprehensive and early orthodontic treatment with Dr. Francis Miranda. Dr. Esparza continues to advance his knowledge in his field and frequently takes ongoing education classes in Children’s Dentistry.
